Peterson questionable for Sunday's game
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — The Minnesota Vikings have been
dealt their biggest challenge in a season filled with them.
Trying to find some hope in a 2-8 season, Minnesota will likely have to do so without the services of running back Adrian Peterson. Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said Peterson has a high ankle sprain and will be in a walking boot for at least a couple of days.
Peterson left Sunday's game with 14 seconds left in the first quarter after Oakland safety Michael Huff rolled up on Peterson's left ankle while making a tackle. Peterson left and didn't return, finishing with six carries for 26 yards and a touchdown.
Peterson was carted off the sideline and said after the game that X-rays were negative. Peterson had an MRI on Monday and was seen in a walking boot leaving Minnesota's practice facility.
"It's a Grade-1 high ankle sprain," Frazier said. "He'll probably be in a boot for the next couple of days.
