Blood sugar must be brought under control
I am a diabetic patient over 15 years who has developed GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease). Its a chronic problem. I am taking medicines Diamicron for blood sugar and capsules of Omeprazole for heartburn but currently these medicines dont work as my sugar continues to be over 200. Please suggest what I should do. I have been in touch with a physician, but they did not do anything but double the
dosage.

Your diabetes medication, Diamicron (generic name, gliclazide), is not available in the United States but is very similar to medications available in the U.S. such as glyburide, glipizide and glimepiride.
