Standing in front of a driftwood backdrop designed by the bride, on the water's edge of the fifth hole of the Cinnamon Hill Golf Course, Ashlee Greenwell and Marc Rollins said "I do".
Virginia Tech graduate, Marc Rollins grew up visiting Jamaica regularly with his parents Michele and John Rollins. Nine years ago he began his own love affair with Jamaica when he and 10 of his "football" playing friends from the United States started the Rose Hall football camp for the 100 children of the SOS Village. The second year, Reggae Boyz Aaron Lawrence, Fabian Davis and Linval Wilson, with Rema coach, Granville's 'Papa' Clarke joined the coaches.
In 2006, a young female athlete, former Miss Delaware, joined the coaches for the camp and Ashlee Greenwell began to share her love affair with Jamaica and the children of the village with Marc Rollins.
In a stunning Lazaro bead-encrusted gown of ivory satin, Ashlee crossed the golf green toward Marc Rollins and his groomsmen all in tan linen suits. Her bridesmaids, including Marc's sister Monique, wore one-shoulder purple satin cocktail dresses with flat silver sandals and held bouquets of lavender roses, green hydrangeas, calla lilies and orchids.
