Answer: depends on the platform. high platforms look ugly but if its under an inch, then the 6 inch heels look sexier.

Peter Dundas plays a big part in celebrities’ closets these days. This time their were two leading ladies, one reality star, one singer, and one fashion guru seen wearing the same Emilio Pucci design LBD (little black dress).

This velvet and lace combo with a Peter Pan collar and black bow tie made some pretty extraordinary entrances. All ladies added their own touch to each look. The only thing to judge for ‘who wore it best’ are their shoes and how their makeup was done. Personally I think this Victorian style dress should be a worn with a t-strap or a strappy heel. To finish the look I would have a smoky eye that will give this sweetheart dress feel mysterious. And of course with a strong contrasting smoky eye always finish the look with a pale lip, and no blush on the cheeks.

Jessica Chastain was the first to wear this dress in May to the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Her hair was pinned up in a very Grace Kelly look, which I absolutely loved. The makeup was spot on with a smoky eye and nude lip. The shoes however were what lost me. She wore just plain black pumps, which made the look a little boring. With a lace dress like this I think you should match it a strong heel, but not one to overpower the dress; just match it.
