Bobby Charles, “Bobby Charles’’ Better known as a songwriter (“See You Later, Alligator,’’ “Walking to New Orleans’’), Charles was an underrated performer in his own right. Rhino Handmade fleshes out his self-titled 1972 album with alternate takes and bonus tracks, stretching to 36 songs over three discs. It’s a good introduction to Charles’s brand of “swamp pop.’’
U2, “Achtung Baby’’ Depending on your level of fandom for the Irish rock quartet, there are several options for obtaining this remastered reissue of the band’s sterling 1991 album including a “super deluxe’’ 10-disc box that includes the recent documentary “From the Sky Down’’ for the free-spending diehard. Thriftier fans can find what they’re looking for in the two-disc version.
