6.02pm: This year's Grammy Awards were shadowed by the death of one of the world's most influential singers, Whitney Houston, and tributes flowed thoughout the ceremony.
The big winners of the day were Adele, who won six awards including three of the Big Four. Bon Iver won the fourth big award for Best New Artist. The Foo Fighters won five for the day, including Best Rock Performance, which gives the band 11 in total. Kanye West took away four including Best Rap Song.
The outfit stand-outs were Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Jessie J and Corinne Bailey Rae. While musicians' clothing choices don't have the grace and elegance film a-listers do, they certainly don't fail to impress.
5.25pm: Paul McCartney sees the ceremony off with Golden Slumbers dedicated to Houston.
5.20pm: The nominees for Album of the Year are Adele for 21, Foo Fighters for Wasting Light, Lady Gaga for Born This Way, Bruno Mars for Doo-Wops & Hooligans and Rihanna for Loud. The winner is Adele for 21. A tearful Adele claims her prize and says, "Mum, girl did good", as well as voicing wiping snot from her nose.
