Jessica Simpson predicts baby is a girl

NEW YORK, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Jessica Simpson said in New York this week she is pretty sure her baby will be a girl.

Simpson told People magazine she couldn't confirm that prediction, but she and fiance Eric Johnson plan to undergo a test to determine the sex of the child.

"I think it's a girl," Simpson said at the debut of the new clothing line created by her and her sister, Ashlee. "But I don't know yet."

Johnson, an ex-NFL player, wasn't going along with his bride-to-be's prediction.

"I think it's a boy," he told People. "We're pretty much at a standstill there."

Digital birthday bash for Britney Spears

HOUSTON, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- The stars came out from across the United States to say happy 30th birthday to pop princess Britney Spears.

Spears and boyfriend Jason Trawick spent the big day Friday of all things ice skating in Houston while her fellow performers and celebrities fired off heartfelt text messages and tweets, even going so far as to pick up the phone and call.
